Your rights in Colorado

A few things the law gives you.

If lot rent is unpaid, the park has to give you a written notice. That notice has to give you at least 10 days to pay the rent, or to sell the home or move it.
You may sell your mobile home where it sits and put a for-sale sign on or in the home. Tell the park you plan to sell. A buyer who will live in the park still has to apply and be approved by the park.
The park is not allowed to retaliate because you used a right, including making a complaint.
You can file a complaint with the Colorado Division of Housing Mobile Home Park Oversight Program. Email MHPOP@state.co.us or call 1-833-924-1147.
If the problem is a park rule needed to prevent real damage or harm, or a local or state rule — and it is not unpaid rent — the official notice says you have 90 days to fix it.
